You will try anything when you have a baby with a cough and can't sleep, and you know when they can't sleep...you can't sleep. So Megan was here and we still have Kayden until Stephany can find good daycare in Oklahoma so she can go to school, and she saw grandpa putting Vicks on Kaydens chest. She said put it on his feet.
Yes, of course we looked at her. What? Anxious to get sleep last night we tried it. Spread it on both of his feet and put on his socks. He woke up once coughing and it was very short term. Went right back to sleep and had a good nights rest, and so did we.
I googled it and yes, people do this and even doctors recommend.
Of course I am thinking now, after a full nights rest....there have been times I can't take aspirin for headache because I am driving and nothing to drink. Yeah, got you thinking too, right? Drop a couple of aspirins in your shoes and you are good to go. Ok, maybe not. We will stop there. But you know they have Pepto Bismol in tablet form, so it isn't like if you have an upset stomach you have to squish in your shoes all day.
Too much rest isn't good either...is it?
