It was a good day at the flip...

and any day at the flip is a good day when you paint, but don't go home at the end of the day with paint between your toes. Now, I don't paint barefoot, but somehow I have managed in times past, to get paint between my toes. All I can say in my defense, is, it was probably Bob's fault. I know that isn't the best or truest explanation, but honestly, I don't have one.

Today our kitchen cabinets were delivered so I was like a kid at Christmas. Bob just finished laying the floor in the kitchen today so they came just in time. Tomorrow morning, January 1, 2010, he will be setting the cabinets in. This is the house we are rehabbing at 1118 Central in Harper. I have sold this house twice before, it is a neat house.  It is alot of work but every once in awhile we see a house that needs us so we rehab it and sell it. The biggest problem is, I love interior decorating, so it isn't enough to rehab, I tend to embellish.

I do like the way the colors are coming together. Main floor bath was tough but I love the color we finally settled on. Kind of a muted sage. Bob got the new light fixture hung today too and I love it. Looks like it has always been there. Just fits the house. We turned a closet in the kitchen into a place for the new refrigerator and extra counter/storage space. We will be shopping for a new dishwasher, stove and microwave as well so the kitchen will be fantastic.

The only lighting the kitchen had was one overhead light, that has been replaced and he installed alot of smaller lights from the soffit that illuminate the counter all the way around. It's looking good.

Yes, today was a good day at the flip and a good last day of 2009. I did happen to walk into some trim peices that were sticking out of the back of the truck, gouged my nose, but if I don't get hurt once in awhile, I won't feel like I've done anything. I usually get hurt because Bob grabs something the same time I do and he lifts it like he can and I don't so I get hurt. I just suck it up, but that paint between the toes thing....that gets me everytime.
