On my way to the dentist in Kingman today, I drove past a house that I had listed to see if the new owners had done any improvements to the outside, just out of curiosity. There is a general store not far from the house on the same street that had a portable sign outside that really caught my attention.
It was advertising some of the items inside the store, but what caught my attention were these two words, "creep chow".
They sold "creep chow"? What in the world is that?
No I didn't stop in the store and ask. Instead I pulled in the driveway and took a picture so when I told Bob about it, he wouldn't think I was nuts. Well the jury has been in on that one for quite a while. But what was weird is when I told him about it and made the statement, "so creeps have to eat too? What is that about? Why would someone put that on a sign?" What is creep chow?
He knew. Blew me away. He is a farm kid. He said his dad use to call the trough or something they fed calves out of, a "creep." So they were selling food or chow to put in the creep. Some kind of grain or something.
You just never know when you are at a holiday party this year and the conversation waines, you can bring up your vast knowledge that you learned on my blog. LOL.
I don't know what else you would do with valuable info like this. Feel free to share.
