This isn't just applicable to Harper County Real Estate sellers, this is for everyone. If you want to get your property sold, you HAVE to declutter! Plain and simple. I can't be any clearer. How you live in your house, and how you live in your house when it is on the market are two very very different things.
Your home needs to show the largest amount of space possible. If your closets are so full you can't put the rest of your clutter away, then pack things and head to a storage facility as potential buyers need to see room! If they see your stuff strewn all over the house, then they automatically feel there stuff won't fit in your house either.
If you are not using it, put it away. This applies to every room of your home. In the kitchen, people want to see ample storage and counter space. In the bathroom the same. In the bedroom, keep it so simple that your freshly made bed is the focal point of your bedroom, not all the stuff you have decorated your bedroom with.
Same with the front porch, back porch and garage. Your outdoor space should not look like a daycare. If it is a daycare, it should at least look like an organized daycare.
We want a good first impression. What is the saying "You never have another chance to make a good first impression".
If your house is priced to sell, has good curb appeal, in a good location, not cluttered, you should be packing that stuff you don't use away anyway as you will be moving! So get your move on. Declutter your home and while you are at it, depersonalize, put away the bulk of your family pics and any collections you might have.
You do want to sell, don't you?
